A new open-source tool called CloudGuardian has been released to automate security posture assessments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments simultaneously. The tool runs over 800 automated checks against CIS benchmarks, SOC 2 requirements, and custom policy frameworks.
Developed by a team of former Netflix and Google security engineers, CloudGuardian generates unified compliance reports and prioritizes findings by risk severity. It integrates with Terraform and Pulumi to flag misconfigurations before deployment through CI/CD pipeline checks.
The project has already garnered over 5,000 GitHub stars in its first week and is being evaluated by several Fortune 500 companies as a complement to commercial CSPM solutions.
